Vaughn Potter is a director of photography currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His work has been screened at the Sundance Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival, AFI Fest, Los Angeles Film Festival, and PBS. He is best known for his work on the award-winning Sundance films, “Shinaab” and “Shinaab, Part II”.

Vaughn started in film as a classically trained cinematography student at Columbia College of Chicago. Now with 10+ years of experience in film, television, and commercials, his rich experience lends itself to working with a variety of different environments, people, and sets. As director of photography he is comfortable on large scale shoots alongside crews that demand high quality performance. In addition, Vaughn thrives in the unpredictable space of documentary filmmaking; highlighted by his work on “Carrying the Fire” and “Language Keepers”.
